Scholarships Overview

Here are some principal factors in awarding scholarships.

  1. Preference will be given to poor, meritorious children.
  2. We prefer to catch them young and start with our support right from pre-school and keep supporting them till they pass out of school, subject to performance criteria.
  3. Preference will be given to supporting children afflicted by alcoholism and addiction.
  4. Preference will be given to children from single income & parent poor homes.
  5. The decision of the Foundation is final & binding, with or without reasons. By applying for support, you expressly agree to this condition.
  6. Scholarships would be offered in a phased and progressive manner for the selected child, going up from (1) to (5) below, subject to performance:
    1. Pre-School
    2. Primary School
    3. Secondary School
    4. Pre-University College
    5. Skills and Technology coaching courses/classes
  7. Students already availing RTE, or any other benefits from other NGOs / Institutions are excluded from the purview of the Foundation’s monetary scholarship schemes.
  8. Scholarship remittances will only be sent directly to the school or college, or coaching class as the case may be. We need the School/College/Institution’s bank details for this purpose.

Scholarship Plan:

  1. As the corpus of the Foundation grows with time, so will the number, quantum and variety of scholarships.
  2. Income from all the Foundation’s other programmes, if any, will be ploughed into the distributable funds for scholarships.
  3. In future, donations from persons, groups, NGOs, Government Grants, and institutions will go towards the Corpus of the Foundation from which the distributable surpluses are determined, with preference for disbursement as scholarships.
  4. As school fees vary widely, the Foundation’s Scholarships awarded could vary from 5% to 100% of the fees payable from case to case.

Scholarship Process:

  1. Applications may be filed online, by the student or by their parent/s or by Volunteers who assist the student. This is especially relevant in case of very poor students who do not have access to the internet.
  2. The school concerned needs to accept to update the Foundation for receipt of the scholarship and for the student’s progress reports.
  3. Applications will be processed by the Trust and based on the budget available and selection criteria, scholarships may be awarded.
  4. The shortlisted applicants will be verified by volunteers appointed by the Foundation  and/or other independent services as deemed fit by the Foundation.
  5. Upon Verification, the Foundation will offer scholarships to selected students on such terms and conditions as the Tryst may deem fit.
  6. Upon acceptance by the student (or parent/s or guardian) the money will be remitted to the school concerned.
  7. ALL rights of admission are reserved.
